Business Briefs: Kimbrough reopens interior design shop

After a three-year hiatus, interior designer Sheryl Kimbrough recently reopened her interior design business, Sheryl Kimbrough Interiors, and again will be working in Athens and Amelia Island, Fla.

The business is a full-service interior design firm for existing homes, new construction and commercial establishments.

She also has a new Web site, www.sherylkimbroughinteriors.com.

Kimbrough, who has 35 years of experience in interior design, earned a fine arts degree from Auburn University and studied at the New York School of Interior Design in New York City.

For the past three years, Kimbrough has been working for developers designing a mixed-used complex in Athens and a villa on Amelia Island.

Workshop covering pipeline for profits

The Georgia Entrepreneur and Small Business Program, coordinated by the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center and Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute is offering a series of free workshops to small-business owners in the Chicopee Building, 1180 E. Broad St.

An upcoming workshop will be titled “Profit Pipeline” and will take place from 8-10 a.m. April 21.

Terry hosts diversity business expo

The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business will host its first diversity business expo from 1-4 p.m., April 15 at the newly expanded Tate Student Center on South Lumpkin Street.

The expo is open to all students, with a particular emphasis on high school students from underserved communities. The purpose of the expo is to pair students with business professionals in order to highlight possible careers and other opportunities that a business education can provide.
